A fond farewell

After many wonderful years,
we are retiring

It is with both enormous pride and a touch of sadness that we announce the permanent closure of Highsteppers. For over two decades, from our home in the beautiful Dorset countryside, it has been our absolute joy and privilege to provide horse and carriage for weddings, celebrations, proms, and pleasure drives across the county and beyond.

From our beloved Gelderlander horses — with their high-stepping gait, matching chestnut coats, and remarkable poise — to the elegant Glass Landau carriage, every occasion we attended felt like a genuine honour. Carefully planning each booking, thinking through every route and every timing detail, has made this far more than a business to us. It has been a calling, and a very happy one at that.

To every bride and groom who chose us to mark the most important day of their lives; to every family and group of friends celebrating a birthday, a retirement, or a milestone; to every prom-goer who arrived in style — thank you. You have given us memories we will treasure always, and we hope the memories you carry from those occasions will stay with you just as warmly.

It has been the greatest privilege to have played even a small part in so many people’s most special moments. We leave with full hearts, deep gratitude, and the very best wishes for all of you in the years ahead.
